With billions and billions of technology devices, it has almost become a necessity for humans. Many positive effects come with these devices, one of the best things being the ability to stay connected to other people. A healthy and good way people use their devices is with apps that can track our physical activities, calorie intake, and can remind us to take medicine. The internet can also teach and help students learn things as they can use multiple sources. A few personal experiences I had while positively using technology is when my uncle went on vacation with my family and he dislocated his shoulder while playing tennis. We used some sites and videos to learn how to pop it back into place. Without this technology we would have had to go a long distance with him in pain to see a doctor. Technology being used in good ways is super beneficial and can solve many problems. Another example of this is when I went out and got lost from my friends I was able to connect with them and find them after.
There are also bad effects from technology. For most kids they do a type of gaming or watching videos. Their necks and backs are effected from this as they have a bad posture which puts pressure on their body. Digital strain is due to the long time where people spend looking at tiny screens. This can be seen with these effects: dry eyes, redness around the eyes, headaches, blurred vision. There are many ways to pervent this like the 20 20 20 rule by taking a 20-second break from the screen every 20 minutes and look at something 20 feet away. Electronic devices can also effect your sleep this happens because of blue light that gets emitted from your device. Another thing is that you can become absorbed into a game or video and that will cause you too stay up as you go past a bed time. This can effect your next day as you will perform worse as you may be sleepy. This is why you have to use technology correctly as it has good and bad effects on our lives.
