Anticipation For Solo: A Star Wars Story

This is the year that the force is finally in our favor. We have not only had one Star Wars movie come out, but this month, on May 25, a second Star Wars movie will be in theaters. “Solo: A Star Wars Story” will finally hit the big screen, the only places the movie will be released early are Australia and at the Cannes Film Festival. Lucasfilm has also released three different story lines that can be found on their website, as well as on the Star Wars website.
Lucasfilms is estimated to make over $170M at the domestic box office with the film. The two individuals that were selected to direct the film are the same two that directed the Lego Movie, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. The hype is real for a Star Wars fan. When “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” was released it had many reviews impressed.
The upcoming movie focuses on the friendship between Han Solo (played by Alden Ehrenreich), Chewbacca (Joonas Suotamo), and Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover). Throughout the film, the characters “will meet each through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and dangerous criminal underworld” (Lucasfilm).
Producers then released a short intro on what the movie would be like. Which had said “Board the Millennium Falcon and journey to a galaxy far, far away in Solo: A Star Wars Story, an all-new adventure with the most beloved scoundrel in the galaxy. Through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and dangerous criminal underworld, Han Solo meets his mighty future copilot Chewbacca and encounters the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, in a journey that will set the course of one of the Star Wars saga’s most unlikely heroes.”
Fans will finally learn the full past of Han and his co-pilot, Chewbacca and how the relationship between the two started. The other cast in the film includes Emilia Clarke as Qi’ra, Thandie Newton, Woody Harrelson as Beckett, Michael Kenneth Williams, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge. This film is NR, has action & adventure, drama, science fiction, and fantasy. It was directed by Ron Howard, and was written by Lawrence Kasdan & Jon Kasdan.
