Netflix TV Show Review: Elite
October 31, 2018
Elite is a new Spanish series that begin streaming on October 5th, 2018. It is similar to Gossip Girl, Riverdale, and Pretty Little Liars in the aspect of the storyline. There is only one season out, but more are to come starting in 2019.
The story follows a group of students who attend Las Encinas, a prestigious school in Spain. A teen murder mystery takes place at the school and as the show continues, there are twists and turns that soon reveal the truth of how it all happened. The show is full of dramatic lives, privileged teenagers, and love triangles that never seem to end. The plot is tense and somewhat emotional between the rich and the poor. The creators do a good job at creating an interesting drama that involves characters who are very relatable. It covers many events, such as real life hardships and broken promises.
I recommend this show because the acting is impressive and the script is well written. Every episode will have you off your seat and wondering what will happen next. None of the episodes are dull or boring and each one contains unique scenes. This is a very exciting series to binge watch, especially for a younger audience.
I rate this show an 8/10 because of the excellence in the plot, characters, and setting.
