Patriots vs Chiefs
January 22, 2019
This Sunday we have the AFC championship game between the New England Patriots and the Kansas City Chiefs. Both teams have explosive offenses with two strong leaders. The Chiefs leader is Patrick Mahomes who threw 50 touchdowns in his first year starting. On the side of the Patriots we have Tom Brady, who is widely disliked, although he has won 5 super bowls with the Patriots.
The New England Patriots had an alright year, and of course we able to wiggle their way into the playoffs. The Pats went 11-5 during the season, but always seem to do really well in the playoffs because they have Tom Brady. The key to the Patriots winning this game is for Brady to be safe with the ball, which shouldn’t be a problem, and for the defense to step up. If the defense doesn’t put their all on the field, they might not be able to hold up against the Chiefs’ offense, which is probably second best behind the Rams’. This leads me to the Chiefs.
The Kansas City Chiefs have the young and talented Patrick Mahomes leading their highly explosive offense. The Chiefs’ chance to win this game lies greatly in the hands of the defense. Their defense is known to be, well–not very good, yet it was able to hold up against the Colts. If they play like they did against the Colts and contain Brady, they will have a shot at winning this game.
In the end I think the Chiefs will win 21-28
