Beyond the Light Poem
I find my joy beyond the light,
In the starlit forests of the deepest night
The breath of the mountains give me life,
And all that is lost is just sorrow and strife
I find my joy in the mysterious silence
There’s something that’s blissful, become my reliance
I watch for spirits, for friends in the shadow
And shutter with glee when I believe they’ve come out, though
I find my joy in lonely bliss
What could be better, truly, than this?
When all is still,
Others would think ill,
But not for my eyes
They see the wandering skies
And the thousand stars are my audience
As I dance in the air of godliness
I laugh and cry,
“Thank God for the sky!”
And so through the night is swept,
A long air of hope I kept
I find my joy beyond the light,
In the starlit forests of the deepest night-
