When I was younger, I would always look up to the older teenagers in high school. As I’ve grown, I’ve come to realize that, in the end, we’re all just kids and it’s everyone’s first time living. While they’re offered, take the time to seize every opportunity that comes your way. Cherish the present because everything is temporary. Appreciate things while they last because you never know when they’ll become just a memory. Everyone has a story and faces struggles, so treat people kindly.
Follow the golden rule: “Treat others the way you want to be treated.” Never take the little things in life for granted. Value the special people who treat you with love and care. The loved ones who will be by your side through everything as you’re growing up. Live your life to the fullest. Set high goals and push yourself to be the best you can be every day. If you can’t change a situation, change your mindset on it. Every day is a new beginning, take a deep breath, and try again. Failure is a part of progress. Life is too short to take everything seriously. Keep going until you’re proud of the results from all the hard work and time you put into something that makes you happy. Changing your mindset will change your results.
When you change your actions, you can change your future. Everybody has something that they thrive in. Find the things YOU enjoy and what fit you as an individual. You don’t need to have the answers. You don’t need to know what you want to do when you grow up. Just get out there and expose yourself to as many different ideas, hobbies, and careers that interest you. Someday you’ll find what’s right for you.
What would you do if you weren’t afraid? People are always afraid to take the first step, but you can achieve anything with hard work. You have to lose your fear of failure, you have to fail, and you have to get it wrong before you get it right. When it feels scary to take the step forward, let that encourage you to take that step, otherwise, you end up staying in the same place your whole life. Go figure things out and just enjoy yourself. Do not be afraid of being unsure and confused about where you are in life. You’ll find your way and figure it out.
Just like the moon, you should go through phases of light and dark, and everything in between. You can’t just give up on something because the situation isn’t ideal. Great things aren’t great because problems are not present, They’re great because you’ll find a way to make it work no matter how long it takes you to reach the finish line. What’s stopping you? You have the potential, the knowledge, and the ability to do anything you wish. Shoot for the stars and enjoy life to the fullest. I hope this advice helps out some of you. Get out there and give it your all!
