Was Russell Wilson Snubbed?

As I was looking through the NFC Pro Bowl roster, I noticed that Russell Wilson’s name had been left off. I thought it was a mistake or that I just missed it, but he got snubbed–or did he? Did he deserve a spot more than the other quarterbacks on the list.

Let’s start with Aaron Rodgers. I think Wilson should’ve taken Rodgers’ place. First off, the Packers didn’t even make the playoffs this year. The Packers finished 6-9-1, which is absolutely atrocious, but ended only 3rd in the division because the Lions are garbage–but that’s beside the point. Aaron only threw for 25 touchdowns while Wilson threw 35 touchdowns. The Seahawks ended the year at 10-6 which is a lot better than they were supposed to do and better than the Packers. Wilson led his team to the playoffs, which is worthy of the Pro Bowl in my opinion.

Now you could make the argument that Rodgers threw for more yards. Rodgers threw for 4,442 yards while Wilson only threw for 3,448 yards, but all of Rodgers’ yards don’t mean anything when you know the Packers didn’t make the playoffs. The NFL is kind of a suck up to Rodgers anyway, so him making the Pro Bowl doesn’t surprise me.

In the end, Wilson got snubbed.
