What is HIIT?

HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) is a workout that was invented in 1996, designed to burn the most calories and fat in a short amount of time.
HIIT eventually became well known and is regularly included in most trainers’ workout splits at least once a week.

These workouts get done with little to no equipment at all. Equipment such as resistance bands and dumbbells make the overall experience a bigger challenge.

Each workout performed should have a time period between 30 to 45 seconds followed by a short rest period of one minute.

The best part about HIIT workouts is being able to do them anywhere you want. Other workouts most likely require you to be in a gym or at home with heavy, expensive machines.

Being active outdoors can be great motivation. There are thousands of different high intensity workouts to get creative with to keep your heart pumping and fat shedding. It’s a huge benefit because you’re looking at the view or setting you enjoy and getting a workout done at the same time.
