A Little Bit Lost – Creative Piece

-so i think i might’ve lost it.
-You did what?
-i think i might’ve-
-It was a rhetorical question. How did you lose it?
-at this point, i’m not even sure if i even had it.
-If you didn’t have it, then who would have had it?
-see that’s the same question i came to… so that’s why i’m pretty sure that i was the one who lost it.
-Well, get it back then.
-its lost, isn’t being lost like the definition of un-back-gettable?
-Losing it isn’t an option. Keep looking.
-i’ve been looking. i honestly can’t find it, can you help me out here?
-How could I even help you?
-by looking.
-That much is obvious. What I mean is: How would I be able to find it when you can’t even find it yourself?
-there isn’t anything you could do to help?
-What? No. You need to put some actual effort into looking.
-i’ve been putting effort in.
-Obviously, you haven’t been. If you were, then we would have it right now.
-i’ve been trying to find it. that’s the thing. everyone’s been telling me to look harder and i don’t know how to tell them that i’ve been looking harder for so long and still there’s nothing to show for it and i feel like no matter what i do at the end of the day there’s just nothing and everyone expects so much from me but all i have is nothing. after everything i’ve done. i’m back to square one. Nothing.

-But you have to find it.
-i know.
