My favorite Podcast for Motivation (while lifting)

When it comes to music, I get really picky. I regularly listen to music, but when it comes to lifting, it has to motivate me and keep me going. I’ve actually spent a couple months trying to find some kind of podcast or playlist to listen to during my workouts, but nothing seemed to be the right fit.

Back then when I was just a beginner in training, I wasn’t really that picky about the music being played because I was mainly focused on getting my form right and putting workouts together. During those moments, I didn’t have an interest in the perfect playlist. I also didn’t have a plan and I was still trying to figure out whether to work on workout splits or to just train my whole body every day.

Now that I have a plan, I’m in the gym, and I’m getting help, I’m more concerned about the music. As my fitness plan was forming, I realized more and more that the music I played wasn’t motivating me enough.

What about music, though, motivates me?

The speed, bass, and beat. Genres like Jazz and Country won’t motivate me. I originally used Amazon Music, then I learned that regular soundtracks are still too boring. I looked for different apps online that have live podcasts or party anthems and found MixCloud. In the beginning I didn’t really find anything interesting, and I was going to delete it. Then I kept looking and found a DJ from New Jersey, Posh DJ.

I played a few tracks and I liked what I was hearing. Posh DJ’s podcasts never failed to impress me. He has tracks for parties, workouts, remixes, non stop energy mix, and debut mixes. Since they’re all great tracks, I can honestly train to any of them. He uses rap and pop and collides them together which makes me feel like I’m at a party or concert.

His podcasts are played at a lot of night clubs and weddings, and have millions of hits on MixCloud. I definitely recommend him to anybody who liked remixes and crazy pop!
