On July 8th, 2023 Travis Kelce went to the Eras Tour with a bracelet that had his number on it, with the hopes of giving it to Taylor Swift. He didn’t have the chance to give it to her at the concert but he eventually tried to gain the confidence to reach out to her. When he did, it didn’t hit the media immediately; there were just little rumors of people saying that they had been talking.
On September 24th, 2023, it hit the news! Swift was in Kelce’s box with his mom, Mamma Kelce. Throughout the game, the NFL kept showing her on the jumbotron and even went to the extent of changing their TikTok bio to say “9/24/23 Taylor was here”. Swifties everywhere started freaking out. On the live stream of the football game, Swift was on the screen countless times, screaming when Kelce scored, giving chest bumps to people, eating chicken fingers, and more. She looked like she was having the time of her life with Kelce’s mamma and some of Kelce’s other friends. After the game, in front of the locker room, a video went viral on TikTok of Swift and Kelce walking out together; Kelce in a 1989 Bedroom Painting matching set. This added more evidence to the speculation of their relationship.
On that same night, Swift and Kelce are known to have rented out a full restaurant, paying for everyone in the restaurant’s food, with the only stipulation being that they left. No media caught them for the rest of the night. Then, on October 2, 2023, Swift was seen again in Kelse’s box. She was with none other than Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively. However, nothing was shown of them together after this game.
Personally, I hope that this rumor is true because, for starters, this is the biggest height difference between Swift and any man that she has dated. Swift is 5 foot 11 inches, while Kelce is 6 foot 5 inches. The most important thing to me is that Kelce understands what it’s like to be in the public eye and to be famous without competing with Swift. Most of the men that Swift has dated prior have been in the music or acting industry. She had to be competing with them for fame although Swift was more famous than most of them. Hopefully, we will see soon whether this is true, or if it’s just a publicity stunt!
